Regardless of this AWFUL cold, which is entering its third week, I have made the garage almost boatshop-ready. There may have been some accumulation of spider webs, dust, dog hair, grass clippings, leaves, and other potential contaminants. They're all gone now, at least until the next time we open the garage door. Well, and the spiders ... they're just going to be here, until we have a couple of good freezes.
We bought some shop lights and a two-light halogen fixture. The shop lights, once we got them home, looked wrong. So we took them back last night and returned them. Then we shopped for "correct" lights, and learned we had got the right kind the first time. The gracious Home Depot associate "unreturned" the lights, which enabled us to preserve the one-time-only 10% discount we had received on them.
We picked up a heater at Costco too. Some assembly was required. It seems to work; we'll use it in conjunction with the halogen lights to create enough warmth for epoxy to cure, when the time comes.
And that time should be soon, now ... the Passagemaker kit has made its way from Annapolis, MD to Seattle, via Newark, Toledo, LA, and Portland. Maybe it will be delivered today. Maybe not. There's no "ETA" on the tracking page.
Tonight ... maybe I'll try to install a shop light. Maybe not.
I have to admit that I looked back and had to laugh. Yes, she would always say that to me. I have morphed into my mother. She finds these things quite funny. Ask her now and she would deny half of it. I think that is a good strategy myself

I love this. Just the idea of you and ole Alfie having a good chat over those stairs is entertainment enough for me. And I love seeing the photograph. They are just so beautiful every time
