I'm a freelance marketing copywriter and creative strategist ... also part-time sea kayak paddler and sailing dinghy builder.

I slaved away for a highly successful direct marketing agency for over nine long, long years. Now I'm on my own and (thank goodness), business is booming.

I write copy. I dream up concepts. I direct design and layout (but can't draw to save my life) with partners when the need arises. The clients really seem to like my work, and even laugh at some of my jokes, possibly out of kindness.

I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration at Transylvania University, Lexington, Ky. Yes, it's a real university, quite a good one in fact. Think of it as Stanford without the high price.

With more than 25 years experience in technology development (notably, as an IT developer and manager) and technology marketing, I could be called a geek, but I know how to dress. Generally.

I have a spouse, two terriers, a fleet of two kayaks, three paddles, and allergies. It's all good.
